Commitment to data privacy & compliance

EnterpriseContacts operates with strict adherence to global privacy frameworks including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA). We provide transparent opt-out mechanisms for individuals and compliance assurance for enterprise buyers.

Our data governance principles

Business Contact Data Only

We collect and process exclusively professional, business-to-business information (corporate email address, employer, professional title, corporate phone number, and public professional career history). We do not collect or store private home addresses, personal financial data, or sensitive personal data.

Legitimate Interest (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f))

Under GDPR, processing B2B professional contact details for relevant commercial marketing is recognized under the lawful basis of Legitimate Interest, provided that the individual's fundamental rights are safeguarded and an uncomplicated right to object (opt-out) is provided.

CCPA & CPRA Compliance

We uphold California residents' rights to know what categories of personal information are held, the right to delete, and the explicit right to opt-out of the sale or sharing of personal information with zero discrimination.

Permanent Global Suppression

When an individual requests data removal or opt-out, their identifier is permanently placed on our global suppression index to prevent future re-indexing or resale across all subsequent platform updates.

// Self-Service Data Removal

Individual opt-out & data removal request

If you are a professional whose business information appears on EnterpriseContacts and you wish to have your record removed or opted out of all future list exports, please contact our data protection team.

How to submit an opt-out:

  1. Send an email to [email protected] or submit a request via our contact form.
  2. Include your full name, business email address, company name, and LinkedIn profile URL (if applicable) so we can accurately match your record.
  3. Specify your request: Remove profile entirely or Do Not Sell / Share My Data.

Opt-out requests are processed within 48 to 72 business hours upon receipt. Confirmation will be delivered back to the requesting email address.

Best practices for compliant B2B outreach

Using verified data is just the first step. We advise all revenue teams utilizing our datasets to adhere to global outbound communication standards:

1. Provide Clear Unsubscribe Options: Every outbound email must contain a conspicuous, one-click opt-out mechanism and physical company mailing address as mandated by the US CAN-SPAM Act, UK PECR, and EU national marketing laws.
2. Maintain Relevance to the Recipient's Role: B2B outreach under Legitimate Interest must be directly relevant to the professional's commercial duties and functional responsibilities.
3. Respect Prompt Suppression: Immediately honor opt-out replies by adding recipients to company-wide suppression lists across all sales reps and marketing platforms.
